This tells the story of Medea through the perspective of Medea's children. They're really almost props in the play itself, but they go through quite a lot over the course of the play. I think that is a key part of the tragedy that deserves exploration.

The nurse says all will be well
If we stay away from mom for a spell
She says that dad really cares
But what he’s doing is just not fair

We ask if mom will be okay, together
She turns away and says, "soon, better than ever"

I hear nothing but lies
And people trying

Screams of mom’s surprise
And sad smiles that spell demise

But they say all will be well

Mom says it’ll be okay
Dad’s letting us stay
But mom will have to pack her things
She sheds a tear for all she’ll be missing

Go to dad, she asks
And hands us robes so tightly wrapped

She gives a sinister smile, looking at heaven all the while
And says, "better than ever"

The foam from the mouth of dad’s new wife

...Me what’s happening?

Are we truly lost in this?
